Why we need your purchase verification

With the Purchase verification, we ask you to confirm that it’s really you who’s making the payment. This way we can maximise your security on Vinted and prevent someone from making purchases in your name.

How it works

When we need to put an extra layer of safety to your purchase, you’ll receive our inbox message asking to send us one of the following:

  • A photo/screenshot of the most recent Vinted charge/-s on your bank statement (you can blur out the other details displayed on the statement); or
  • A copy/photo of the credit card you used for your recent purchase/-s on Vinted.

We’ll specify which proof we require in our message and we’ll provide a secure link to upload your documents under.

Important: Please verify your purchase within 24 hours after our notice, otherwise we’ll have no choice but to temporarily suspend your account. In certain cases, for extra security, we may suspend your account right after sending you the Purchase verification request.
