The Make an offer button will help you offer a lower price and encourage your buyers to hit “Buy now” faster.

Here's how:

• Press Make an offer on the conversation screen with a buyer.
• Enter a new price and press Make an offer.
• The buyer will receive your offer immediately and either accept or decline it.
• The buyer will need to press Buy now to start the buying process.

Good to know

• The new price will only be visible to the buyer you’re talking to.
• You can make 5 offers per day.
• The postage price can't be included in the discount.

For buyers

Spotted something you absolutely must have? Strike up a conversation about the item with the seller! If you’re saving this month, why not use the Make an offer button to get a bargain?

• Click Ask seller on the item's listing page.
• Press Make an offer on the conversation screen.
• Enter your price and click Make an offer. The seller can either accept or decline your offer.
• Once you settle on the price, hit Buy now on the conversation screen and enter your details for checkout.

Good to know

• You can send 5 offers per day.
• The largest discount you can ask for is 40% off the listed price.
• The postage price can't be included in the discount.
