Choosing the brand for your item
In the brand field, the brand name should refer to the item’s manufacturer, not the retailer.
If your item doesn’t have a brand or you don’t remember its brand name, scroll to the bottom and select the No brand option.
When uploading an item, you can select the brand name in the brand field in 3 ways:
- Choose the brand name from the list of popular brands.
- If you cannot find the brand in the list of popular brands, start typing the brand name, and suggestions should pop up.
- If you can’t find the brand name in the suggestions, enter the full brand name, scroll to the bottom, and select Create a brand.
ImportantUsing a brand name to falsely describe or promote an item is against the trademark law and is prohibited on our platform. In addition, using phrases like “similar to”, “inspired by”, “replica”, etc., followed by the brand name is not allowed in the brand field or listing description. Such listings may be removed or hidden and/or result in legal actions against you by the brand owners.
Good to know
- You can add or change the brand name after uploading an item by pressing Edit in your listing.
- Please don’t add unrelated brand names or hashtags to the item description. Otherwise, we’ll have to hide or delete your listing. Additionally, if you use a paid feature (Item Bumps or Wardrobe Spotlight) for such listings, we won’t be able to refund you its cost.
